Initiated by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in 2007 in Sydney, "Earth Hour" has become a global grassroots movement for reducing carbon emissions. It encourages individuals to turn off "unnecessary lights" for one hour on the last Saturday of March at 8:30 PM local time, calling for everyone—regardless of age, class, or background—to recognize their ability and responsibility to change the world in the face of global climate change. Currently, 192 countries and regions, along with over 18,000 world landmarks, participate by "turning off the lights" in support of this initiative.
On March 23, 2024, from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM, let’s turn off "unnecessary lights" for one hour together, in support of a sustainable Earth!
