Sustainable Supply Chain Management Policy

The products and services provided by suppliers not only have a tangible and direct impact on PM Group’s products, services, and operations, but the corporate social responsibility behaviors of suppliers also indirectly affect PM Group's intangible reputation and pose potential risks. As an important player in the global medical glove manufacturing industry, PM Group is committed to continuous improvement in sustainable supply chain management to maintain a competitive advantage with its suppliers. Therefore, PM Group has established responsible production and green products as the core strategies for implementing sustainable supply chain management, supporting SDG 8 and 12 as long-term objectives.

Under the PM Group Board of Directors, a Sustainable Strategy Office has been established. Building upon traditional supply chain management, this office adheres to relevant domestic and international regulations and is guided by the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct to strengthen the sustainable supply chain management framework. PM Group extends its sustainable supply chain management scope to include corporate governance, environmental protection, and social inclusion, addressing ESG issues such as labor rights, environmental protection, health and safety, ethics, and management systems. These criteria are included in supplier selection and auditing processes, establishing risk management items and identifying high-risk suppliers. Based on evaluation results, improvement measures are formulated, and support is provided to suppliers for continuous enhancement. The goal is to improve the effectiveness of sustainable supply chain management, reduce operational risks within the supply chain, and foster sustainable partnerships.

Implementing the identification and management of risks related to the environmental, social, and governance aspects of the supply chain to enhance its sustainability capabilities. Promoting a green and sustainable supply chain, encouraging suppliers to reduce environmental impacts in their operations and products.

Sustainable Supply Chain Management Goals

PM Group is committed to establishing a supply chain focused on sustainable development. To ensure a safe working environment within the supply chain, dignity and respect for employees, and business operations that promote environmental protection and adhere to ethical standards, relevant management regulations for suppliers have been formulated. This is aimed at collectively fulfilling corporate social responsibility and creating a sustainable value chain.

To lead suppliers towards sustainability and uphold customer commitments to responsible production, PM Group has established a Supplier Code of Conduct and a Sustainable Procurement Policy. Suppliers are required to sign a Corporate Social Responsibility Commitment to ensure their compliance with PM Group's supply chain management requirements. In 2022, PM Group successfully achieved its planned goals based on the aforementioned sustainable supply chain management strategy and action plans.

Furthermore, the Sustainable Strategy Office and the Sustainable Supply Chain Working Group will strengthen three key supply chain management goals based on PM Group's "Sustainable Strategy Blueprint," aiming to align with the United Nations SDGs and continue promoting execution with ongoing improvements. In 2023, PM Group will introduce a new ESG sustainable audit program, hoping to fulfill its corporate responsibility as a client and elevate the entire supply chain.

Supply Chain Topics

Raw Material Management

We align with the vision of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), which emphasizes the responsible use of forest resources to meet the social, ecological, and economic needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. This vision complements the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 12 and 15, serving as a central focus for our supply chain management, and we are committed to ensuring sustainable consumption and production patterns. PM Group is taking proactive steps by setting sustainable procurement goals and collaborating with global supplier partners to indirectly promote the sound management of economic forest lands and the conservation of global natural forest resources.

Supply Chain Procurement Expenditure

To ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns, our requirements for raw materials are crucial for the company's ability to operate and profit sustainably. PM Group actively prioritizes the purchase of green products that bear environmental labels, energy-saving certifications, and FSC international certification across raw materials, in-house facilities, and office supplies.

We strongly encourage our facilities to prioritize the use of local suppliers. However, due to the specific characteristics and quality requirements of certain products, we may sometimes opt for imported suppliers to maintain and enhance product quality and characteristics, even if it poses challenges to the local supply chain.
